Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Are Lay-offs planned in October?

Has any one else heard of lay-offs in October? I've only heard a random and elusive comment from a person I wouldn't expect to be "in the know".

Every month is layoff month.

For large layoffs, August and November is more likely I think. The bigs ones recently have been mid quarter. But layoffs are constant at this company, and more often small ones to avoid having to report them to state or federal governments.

They plan stuff months, sometimes even years in advance. Seen it with my own experiences.

IRIFS or VRIFS are done either monthly or quarterly. Count on them being continuous...they have been since 2019. Try to find out when the last 2 waves hit and you will see the timing/pattern. Update your resume asap and start looking. The best feeling is leaving prior to giving them the satisfaction of letting you go with no warning.

Extended covid nonsense or not, the tactics are rif or schemes to jettison workforce with no severance payment.

Print volume is still way off the 2019 trends, even though some businesses have been bringing back their employees.

If the Delta variant takes hold and more shutdowns happen, more layoffs are guaranteed.

October might be optimistic. Stock is tanking, investors are gettin wary and still need to feed that dividend.
