You believe that DXC should act ethically? Hmm. A novel idea.
It seems to be common practice for a lot of CEO’s to Award themselves big bonuses when thy know their company performance is going down the tubes. It’s a gravy train for those at the top, whilst they can get away with it.
Same happened at Polaroid, Enron, toys r us, one-tel, uniphase, tyco, mg rover, fairpak, Lehman brothers, Citigroup, Merrill Ly--h, northern rock, RBS, American Express (CEO awarded himself $5M cash bonus during 4000 redundancies - as if that would ever happen at DXC!), American International Group, Nortel networks, Blockbuster, Lear Corporation, Circuit City, Kodak, Hostess brands, BHS, Cumulus media, Sears, Carillion, rite aid, PG&E, Cloud peak energy, Thomas Cook, and We work.
I retired from DXC two years ago (amazingly I didn't get WFR'd before retiring).
In my time I saw Mike Lawrie award obscene pay rises to himself, as well as his entourage, but ML2 is evidently far worse. Based on the company's recent performance, Salvino and the board's pay awards are totally unjustified and a total insult to the employees.
I sympathize with those who still toil in the company to pay his wages, and would advise there is live beyond DXC.
Forget the obscene amounts involved and just look at the percentage increase, for the execs it ranges from 32% to 84%!
Anyone think staff raises will be similar? 1 or even 2 orders of magnitude smaller for the lucky few would be my guess.
Mk2 and bagel they both got more than 50% salary increases, and mf did very well. How can they look staff in the eye and give them less than 10% and say there isn't enough money.
Aren't they supposed to lead by example?
Michael Salvino, President and Chief Executive Officer
