Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Pay/Benefit Cits

If Intel no longer is producing cutting edge chips, they can't charge a premium for them. This usually translates to pay and benefilt cuts dut to lower magin. Excpect this to happen. Maybe not soon, but I see it coming.

Nothing new they have been reducing benefits since I started 24 years ago. Pay raises do not keep up with inflation. Thank goodness I don't spend much.

BS raises have been going on forever. It’s been known for a long time that leaving and coming back will get you 15% and possibly a higher grade level. And they, who show us no loyalty whatsoever, wonder why employees are leaving

Intel’s pay/benefits is already below industry average as they still think that their name has value but there are far better places to work and with higher salaries to boot. If you’re double dipping as intel hired your wife/cousin then add that to the calculus before jumping ship.
