Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Management Ignoring Inflation

Windstreamers are lucky to average a 1 percent wage increase year over year. With inflation now hitting over 5 percent and likely to go higher, how much suffering can management and HR ignore? This is horrible and my peers plan to write Congress that employee treatment must be a component in deciding allocation of Broadband money....it is a morale imperative!!!

Don't you get emails telling you that Windstream values you as employee?? It is a disgrace. I watched the news this morning. Walmart employees make more money than I do. The longer you work for Windstream the more you get screwed. They value for 3 years and then wish you would move on.

You need to remember that the top 151 took in $30 million in retention bonuses. Next they told staff employees there isn't any money to give any cost of living raises. Where do you think their priorities are right now.

Thai company is terrible. Ti think about how everyone worked during Covid we couldn’t even get a 1% raise not even a bonus. It would be nice to actually be appreciated at the company

The constant message from management is “this isnt a prison, you can go work somewhere else”. Its basically the companies mission statement at this point.

The latest HR SOP is to give a 3% raise after three years of no raises for most. That is why the person was telling truth about averaging 1% over the years. A lot of angry workers at this company....but as the greedy CEO takes pleasure in saying, 'Windstream is not a jail'. Such a caring individual. You know you want work here....right!!

This is why everyone is doing the bare minimum. The people holding the company together have been eagerly awaiting executive changes, but seems they are all now giving up.

Its a moral standard to show some reprocity is noy here.

The real question is, is how much suffering can you withstand? You need to understand they are in it for the money. They could care less for you. Once you grasp that concept you will be in a better place and be prepared to move on.
