Aternity tried to dump some of its bad leaders but they fled to Riverbed. The friction with Aternity being folded back will be interesting. I expect layoffs on both sides and it will be interesting to see which leader whines the loudest.

It's just like they wanted Aternity out of the equation until refinancing happened.

All this talk of M&A and the big announcement is a merger…….. with a company RVBD already owns.

There was a massive layoff splitting Aternity apart. I bet there will be another massive layoff spinning back in. Either way, Aternity product leadership is a bit out of touch, they have no idea what tech is out there.

I’m confused - I thought Aternity Is going to be part of a new company and NOT going back to Riverbed????

Pulling Aternity back into Riverbed is going to be seen by customers/prospects as a sign of weakness no matter how much spin you put on it. This is a great move for Nexthink. Their marketing and sales team will have a field day with this. RIP Aternity.

The only good I see coming out of this is the ability to slim down to one incompetent management structure instead of two.

Couldn't find a buyer and it was failing on its own so giving the consolidated platform another chance seems the only way to go.
When after the split Rvbd was 1 but is becoming .75 of that and Aternity was 1 but is becoming .75 of its value - the best you can do is add .75 to .75 and pray you still have 1.5 left in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

AHAHAHAHAHAAH! What a desperate first move by our fearless leader, DM (or maybe TB).

Com’on man…this movie is getting really old. Put lipstick on a pig, no one buys, and in an attempt to save from each other’s failings, d-mb and d-mber gets back into bed with each other.

I consider this a consolidation of sorts, so beware of your job 😂 if you thought turnover is bad now, just you wait.

Someone in Riverbed can’t math. D-mb + D-mber doesn’t make you smarter, but d-mbest.

Aternity is becoming like Riverbed under TB, they are losing more customers than they are acquiring... sure a few reps made bank, most are not. Product is going backwards, 1 new dashboard over 2 years isn't innovation, zero new work from home features, nothing for virtual desktop for last 2+ years. Tommy boy is a big disappointment they care more about their social agenda than their technology or customers.

"Riverbed was doing $1Billion in revenue at their peak." :) . When was this 100 B.C? Don't keep basking on things which happened before christ. Riverbed is archaic with same old SH cr-p which is done. They have zero knowledge on what is happening today and how to compete. Acquired OPNET for a zillion and had no clue what to do. Acquired Aternity again no clue what to do.

When was the last time Riverbed had a partnership with a company like INTEL? Market was and is for APM/E2E. There will be no difference even this time. Riverbed will ruin what was achieved and they will sink everything again.

It is not as much as Riverbed but TB.

No vision, no leadership, whether it’s Aternity on its own or Aternity/Riverbed. Go Thoma Bravo, ki-l the beast now: your amazing leadership only let the cancer spread.

Aternity is a nice product but has struggled twice as a stand-alone.

It is not lucky for Aternity, it is saving grace for Riverbed :). Aternity has been doing pretty well on their own.
