Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Seriously why give a flying who about ATT

When Stankey hasn't recognized his disastrous errors, zero accountability, and still a weak board. There is nothing that tells me after cleaning up the balance sheet for a few years that Stankey will want to gamble and make his mark with a $100B Cell Tower or Internet Acquisition. 2010 TMobile Disaster, 2015 Direct TV Disaster, 2018 Time Warner Disaster, and 2021 - 2024 it appears the Stankey Comet Disaster is scheduled to be rolled around again. Remember this guy will gamble to rewrite his legacy at any and all costs. He is a degenerate gambler and so called leader who has nothing to lose with where he stands today. So that is why I as an employee take the money and don't care. I assume at least 3/4 of the remaining employee base think the very same thing.

Stankey is paying lots of workers, great benefits. People just complaining and not seeing this. Unhappy cuz they unhappy.

Because AT&T is still paying lots of workers and generating lots of business. Too many haters can't see past debt.

It's still a cash cow and with low interest rates sticking around for at least the next year or so, debt is not too big of a deal! Cutting the dividend, now that's a big deal and will ultimately hurt the shareholders!

Agree T has been around 140 yrs, however, they always made good money. Not so much now, with the high debt load, they won't be generating much disposable cash for a good long while.

People, you need to keep in mind that T isn't going anywhere no matter what you might wish! It's been around for 140 years and will continue for much longer . I've been with T for a long time and have never seen anything successful come of any of their acquisitions over the years. And everything they've acquired, they ended up spinning off to its own company the way it was before T got its ill-fated hands on it! If T would just stick to its core business and do what it does best, then I think it'll survive in this ever changing techno-climate!

In the same boat but got a landscaping business going on the side. $150K in salary and benes doing next to nothing with The Big T and $100K running a grass cutting crew and plowing and growing monthly. Covid, WFH, and ATT donnybrook has been a god send for our family. Keep me on the payroll and keep it dysfunctional with a sc--w up like Stankey for as long as possible.

Sure go ahead and not give a flying f*ck and keep taking the $ for as long as you can. Problem is, you won't be getting the $ for much longer with Stinky around pulling his b o n e r s. And the longer you survive, the more toxic it will get. Enjoy your torture at T for as long as it lasts. The rest of us would rather be rind of the Stink, or doing anything else at somewhere else.

Eventually, it will just be a few contractors in Bangalore, and the C-Suite that is left.
