Overtime ban

A bright spark middle manger has invented a overtime ban and created more paperwork overhead approvals in addition to existing approvals to keep everyone busy and threatening not to pay staff.

So much for bureaucracy busters more useless tasks created.

Mike S thinks his running the company but at middle and lower management layers Mike Lawrie is still here controlling the company (the old managers still look up to him).

The old Lawrie style of old managers who are layers upon layers need a clear out.

This bright spark who thought this up is shortsighted in cutting costs as it will cause loss in revenue, work backlog, poor service, and further morale decline.

Little or no pay rise offered, no overtime, no other benefits, doesn't offer much for a company supposedly on the growth track.

The only benefits are numerous town halls, emails, and glossy logos telling you how good the new DXC is.

Really same as the the old CSC HP.

Real simple, DON'T WORK any OVERTIME! I haven't worked over time in years, why work extra if you don't get any more pay, why work extra when you don't get cost of living increases, why work extra when you don't get ray increases for doing more work.

Even when my client is asking for overtime (eg during cutover weekends) and paying for it (Sat @150% and Sun@200%) i am not allowed to benefit. I just need to work these weekends for free. There is no win/win @ dxc. Get these clowns out now!! And guess what… i will not work any hour/weekend extra.

This is more cost cutting driven by Mikey mk2. He knows that the revenue is not going to increase so thinks he can keep pushing the employees to do more for less. Everyone should now be on a work to rule and only work the hours you are paid for.

If they want to maintain service they can come and ask me to help and do overtime as its a favour for them to stop service declining.

No more freebies, goodwill gone.

I'm not going to fill out more justifications, if the clients or DXC want to maintain service they can come to me and ask me for help doing overtime, we're doing them a favour with extra and out of hours and that can be the approval process.

No more freebies, or goodwill.
