How about explaining to people how they steal money from Train crews by denying all of out pay claims. Anywhere else this would be wage theft but not here. What a joke and why I don’t invest in this company because I know what they do to make their numbers and stealing from employees shouldn’t be a way to drive up your stock.
It is proved to me how bad UP is managed when I discuss and compare my managers actions with people who dont work for UP. Without fail EVERYTIME the other person walks away shocked and thankful they dont work for UP. Want to try this yourself? Just simply explain to a non UP employee how UP constantly circumvents the federal rest laws in order to force train service employees to work with no days off. Somebody should do a TV mini series expose on UP employees.
@kln When I say that management isn’t any better anywhere else, I’m pointing out the rot and toxicity that is now the trademark of Corporate America, not defending UP.
And yes, the pay at UP is below average, at least for non-agreement salaried employees.

I've worked for several big companies. UP is hands down the worst managed company in this country. Thousands of glassdoor reviews aren't wrong.

Yeah, I worked for Dollar General, and their employees are happier.

Everyone I’ve ever heard say how poorly managed UP is and how well they supposedly pay has never worked for any other F5+ company. The pay is below average and management isn’t any better or worse than anywhere else.
