Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

How is DXC still afloat?

I'm shocked this company hasn't sunk completely considering all the incompetence our management has displayed over the past few years - especially since Salvino took over. Do you know of any other company of a comparable size that is run in as disorganized a manner as us?

Who really cares anymore? I don't thats for sure. I don't have any assignments even though I ask for something to do. I won't beg, if they are willing to pay me to check emails and go to meetings thats fine with me for a little bit more.

Prior years I busted my bu-t, working days , nights, weekends and even some 24 hour shifts and what do I have to show for it , nothing! No pay increase no nothing.

Cheers Mates

My guess is there's a lot of old long term contracts that are still providing revenue. Existing clients may be re-upping their contracts just to keep maintenance going on legacy systems. DXC leadership can layoff/offshore as necessary to hit revenue goals.

Even parts of the Titanic floated on the surface for a while.

Mikey Mk2 is like a good con artist who convinced the stock holders that he is transforming the company. Those of us who work here know the only thing he has transformed is the colour of the logo and he has no interest in fixing the multiple broken systems and processes as that would cost time and money. He will sell off some more of the business to keep the appearance of transformation and then walk away with more bonuses when the company is finally broken up.

the reason that CSC then DXC survive is that every couple of years they make a big acquisition or merge and distract from the core business by claiming they are transforming and reinventing themselves... This gets them a free pass for a few years until it becomes clear that the financial and efficiency gains trumpeted at time of acquisition will not materialize...by then its too late and the execs responsible have left or are happy to take a package .....then it starts again

Nobody knows - how CSC -> DXC under Mike Lawrie didn't dive the company in to the bin and Mikey 2 had his chance to turn thins around - he bumping the $$ share price up possibly in prep for selling more parts of it off and then retiring as Mikey 1 in the sunset. Mikey 2 could really transform the company by removing the fudge, especially yes tick box managers and old ineffectual processes, management style, etc, etc, etc, etc but nothing will change - CSC -> DXC has always been bad since Lawrie took over in mid 2010's - nothing is changing
