Has anyone, as a result of the W2 give away, had their SSN # used to set up a fraudulent Medicare and/or Social Security Benefits account?

This is a example of having a process in place, being very concerned about something that affects employees and once again just being pi-s poor at doing it. For any legal action you need to show a loss in dollars.
Lock down your ss account. Stopped by the office to do so. Lock down your credit. Is now free and available online. Ask for pin to file taxes. Need to file a form. It can be faxed. Was well worth the time and effort to do this after the w2 incident.
I discovered the fraud 8 months ago. The SSA is still working on correcting the fraud. Currently I have no health care coverage (because I'm eligible for Medicare) and I have not been able to collect my social security benefits. Is there anything which can be done from a legal standpoint either with the SSA (they don't seem to care about fixing the problem) or Seagate?
The credit freeze is well worth it. It's a pain in the a$$ sometimes. Thanks Seagate...
Yes, why?
