That guy lasted WAY too long. He drove a lot of good engineers away, didn't actually accomplish anything, and was just deeply weird to boot. Good riddance.

Bratwurst guy didn’t last long too. Pizza&Macaroni must be hired him.

I believe anyone on bonus plan got their pay cuts back in early 2021. I think this is director level and above.

Retention bonuses likely at the vp level and higher

What does “a number of people” actually mean? I never got my PTO or pay reduction back. Others left the company before 2021. Don’t try and justify this one but, it’s total BS

A lot of people got their pay cuts returned to them in early 2021. There were also a number of people that were on 20%+ retention bonuses during 2020 to encourage them to stay.

Shared pain and pay cuts was a sham.

RMB didn’t have to lay anyone off. He basically stole portions of our paychecks and PTO hours. This didn’t even cost ANYTHING like a RIF. RMB is a failure on so many levels.

Don’t praise him for not laying anyone off during COVID. It happened after, so it was planned. There were also huge pay cuts and the cuts. He overestimated his own abilities.

DS is a puppet, he'll do whatever TB wants. RM was the driving force behind Riverbed not letting people go during Covid, to his credit. It was a morally good decision that helped a lot of people during a very tough time. But that decision cost him with TB, and no investment was made in the longer-term areas like product development.

Look for a ruthless TB-led slashing of the company now. Buckle up!

He left for brighter pastures - couldn't see a turnaround happening (similar to Mountford). Smoot failed as a COO and CRO (missed all sales targets, brought in an Americas sales SVP that caused havoc then quit because he knew he couldn't make it work, failed at all strategies, company continued to shrink under his watch) but was promoted anyway because TB knows that no one good on the outside will want the job.
