not to mention this board has been quiet so I'm guessing not much is going on otherwise we would be hearing things.
agreed. but can be said of any large company: small trim here and there.
my point is they would not like to do anything to trigger news and or WARN act unless things are dire. Dell is considered a tier 6-7 company so they need to hold onto whatever rep they still have
@8oug+1bIBX1Fo - Dell continuously has small layoffs, as they are always looking to cut costs and replace American workers with cheaper offshore alternatives. Even when they are doing "well". Since they are not officially announced no one is the wiser unless you are reading these boards or know someone in the company.
dell is doing well, no need for layoffs. maybe a trim here and there. if anything, companies are ramping up hiring
layoffs heavily damages a company's reputation. i dont think dell is in any position to layoff wi--y-nilly.

It is a reorg at least in Storage. No big layoffs are expected. Just trimming unnecessary bits.
