I'm just wondering, if some of the best experts came with the greatest will to fix this company, where would they start?
There are so many problems piled up here, that it would take them a lot of time to get Schlumberger in order, if at all possible. Maybe we better come to terms with the fact that things can only get worse here?

Remove multiple management layers
"Experts" with the knowledge and power to 'fix' the company, would NEVER be allowed to come into the company, simply because they WOULD expose the incompetence and 'yes men' that allowed the company to become what it is.
"Experts" WOULD do away with all the buzz words, worthless policies, countless levels of management that do nothing except micro-manage, or create the aforementioned buzz words and policies, and most importantly of all, the EXPERTS might have some real world, hands on, work skills, in whatever field that they were brought in to rejuvenate, that reflect the real reason for its existence.
