Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

ENOUGH SURVEYS!

I hope someone high up the ladder reads this site. Take a course, get a survey. Use IT get a survey. Use HR get a survey. Use “good life” to find info, get a survey. Inspire surveys, pulse surveys. ENOUGH Why not take a survey about taking surveys? How much employee time do you waste on surveys? Factor that in to your productivity numbers. 😱. Vent over.

The surveys are not anonymous. Had a coworker who was brutally honest on a survey and got called in by the then director for his comments. Beware beware.

In Staff Counsel, we can't mail a survey to a client until sometimes over a year after their file has closed. Mail surveys go out once a year for files closed up to end of August in the current calendar year. So, for example, if someone's file closed on 8/31/20, they'll get a survey in fall 2020, but if another person's file closed on 9/1/20, that survey would not go out until the following year (fall 2021). We've only recently started sending out email surveys, which go out more than once a year but still can arrive months after the file is actually closed. Just ridiculous.

Surveys are lazy management. They use a combination of survey fatigue + guilt from our managers because we know a bad survey for Allstate will count against them personally. The data collected is not representative of how employees actually feel about working here. But as long as they have those positive employee surveys, they can point to them and say oh turnover must be for some other reason, it’s not us, look at what a great employee experience we have.
The best thing that could possibly happen to this company is for people to stop waiting until they take their exit surveys to be honest.

The Wolf 🐺 took many surveys during her time at Allstate. All the surveys are meaningless except one survey:

Allstate’s performance in the survey is abysmal! Allstate’s rankings helps the Wolf 🐺 write more and more Allstate customers . The Wolf 🐺 hopes Allstate continues to pay attention to the meaningless surveys and continues to ignore the consumer driven survey of JD Power!
