I see so many posts of people leaving Allstate and finding better paying jobs with great benefits and amazing culture... Really? In this economy, there are hundreds of these amazing jobs available for the taking? Just waiting for disgruntled Allstate employees to come and jump in? I call bs.

On a whim, I looked at this site again, and saw this..
Lots of jobs out there.
I was laid off last Nov, after close to 30 yrs, and finally took the holidays to chill.
Landed a great job, with a great company culture, and even a small raise.
But, it took 4 months.

Don't be pigeon-holed by your job title - no one cares what Allstate called you.
Don't be pigeon-holed by your roles - think what you can do, not what you've done.
If you're shy about your skills, get over it. Now.
Apply, apply, apply - I have 5 pages of id's and passwords for all the companies' sites that I applied to. I still get calls and emails..
Get at it every day - when you're down, or nervous about an interview, look at your badass resume and get co--y. It will come.
Scrape Allstate off of you - took a bit of time, but after 30 years, I'm a kid again..

WELL BELIEVE IT HONEY. I was one of the riff raff and ended up landing a 3x better job. 2 pensions, a 401k, paid time off, medical benefits that BLOW allstate's away and not to mention I make more money now. ITS OUT THERE TRUST THE TIMING OF YOUR LIFE
@fzg+1bGMD82v Did you consider that maybe the fact that 600k+ Americans died might have something to do with the labor shortage?
I’m regard to OP’s question, honestly yeah. There IS a shortage of workers right now and it’s really easy to find a job.
Progressive. They’re offering me about $5 more an hour.
If Allstate kept competitive wages, they wouldn’t lose employees.
ladies and gentlemen, OP here is a home office shill. he's trying to demoralize you into not looking for new jobs. they're scared of too many people leaving. so they come here and lie. ignore him. seek. apply. leave. plenty of great jobs.
it's not 2008 anymore, shill. the advantage in the labor market is with the worker. shoo shoo, shill. dismissed.
I happen to know that there are better jobs out there and believe most people that post about them on this board. I left Allstate shortly after they pulled the adjusters out of the field and basically made them desk adjusters overnight. Speaking from experience, Allstate does not care about work life balance so the culture is going to be better just about anywhere else. He-l, I thought the PTO was generous at Allstate...turns out that is not true either. I am eligible for 49 days of PTO at my new company. I am making more money, have better health insurance, a better 401K match, pension, company car, and a culture that puts its members and employees before profit or stock holders. You just need to put yourself out there and see what you can find. It may take some time, but your wellbeing will thank you in the long run.
There is a national labor shortage because they keep giving people more money not to work than companies are paying...
If you have a skill, like software engineering, there is always a better job at a better company with better benefits available.
I call bs that you seem to think where you live is the exact same economy as other ppl. Maybe in your rural area there are no jobs but I've traveled to several states and there are lots of companies hiring.
You have to realize the average person in this site is making 15 to 20 bucks an hour. Plenty of those jobs available
Not everyone is in claims, without marketable skills. Those of us with marketable skills are getting to better employers
