I don't feel like I'm getting the leadership or mentoring I need here. People are not interested in talking, exchanging ideas, getting to know each other... How can my manager know whether I'm a good choice for a promotion when he isn't even trying to get to know me? It's ridiculous.

Under Culpable's tenure, USA employment went from 101,200 Americans to 57,000 American workers, a reduction of 44%... yup 44%. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

GE appears to be using (foreign) labor to "persuade" foreign governments to buy its cr-p products? Err um' green energy BS Windmills and terrible medical device products. Can you say Out of Box (OOB) failures.

- E. is at a very sad point in its long life. The company gradually began to care less and less about people and more about the dollar goal. Morale can not be boosted over night but the gradual process must begin for us all to save this company. I do know that drastic change is in the works.
Welcome to the meat grinder, the fire drill, whatever you want to call it. They don't care about you. The system will chew you up and sp-t you out. Learn what you can and take the knowledge, improve your resume, and get the heck out. A company that fires thousands of knowledgeable people while they were simultaneously hiring huge numbers of Edison engineers, proves that there is no loyalty and there is plenty of other unethical behavior going on all over the place. Hey, you better sign off on this nonconforming part because there are thousands that have shipped etc. What a mess. Discriminate against the workforce (mainly age) and bring in new. If you’re not part of a leadership program don’t waste your time- just leave.
It's not up to anyone but you to show you deserve a promotion. If you deserve it then it will be obvious because your name will keep popping up as a problem solver. Do more socialize less.
Management is too busy learning new buzzwords to use and trying to parse Workday to bother with your growth.
Culpable is too busy pushing a lean narrative to Wall Street to worry about the meltdown in management.
