Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Expecting major restructuring?

Many mention that there could be a major restructuring now that Notre Dame will have a new partner managing its bookstore. Any thoughts? I have a bad feeling. In any case, I don't expect anything good, unfortunately, because it's getting worse here every day anyway.

This thread, both the original post and the reply, are sheer speculation. Maybe this, probably that, be prepared for ‘something.’ Lather, rinse, repeat. Stop living in fear of the unknown and stop scaring people unnecessarily.

I expected this before ND when JH was discussing SM roles at the end of the Follett Forward call. I think the SM position at smaller stores will be changed in some way to save Follett tons of labor. They will probably make it hourly or change the title all together with lower pay. Hence, the hiring of so many uneccessary ASMs at small stores and the Development survey to move ASMs and Team Leads into SM roles at much lower pay. I expect a mass exodus of SMs if this occurs.
