I am praying to be pipd so I can take the PIL. Will health insurance still be active for people who take PIL? Also any pointers on how I can get pipd?

Keep your nose down and do your job is a sure way to get PIPd. Also helps to call out management in meetings when they are wrong or trying to sell BS
Just ask HR for PIL. They granted it last year to someone I know.
Don’t listen to these trolls. Do what’s best for for you and yours. These people are all in on the company again now that the match has been returned. But don’t worry, they’ll take the match away again at the first sign of trouble.
If you get offer the PIL, it does include insurance for three months while on payroll. And the option to continue on COBRA if you wish.
You need to just go if you truly don’t understand how the timing of performance assessments results work. That ship, my friend, has sailed for this year. Don’t make your team suffer for the next year - just go.

just quit and save us all some heartburn. Totally selfish of you to intentionally try to get PIP'd. Only people who will suffer as a result are your teammates who aren't the ones imposing a bad work environment on you.
