ND v Stanford was a favorite football venue for follett. They'd fly everyone in to SFO and put them in the Stanford area. Catered lunch, goodie bags (assembled by the bookstore staff), game tickets. This was gratis to executives, bookstore prospects, long time clients. They always dumped a lot of money on this game. The game will still be here. Will follett show up? They'll have to own the bookstore they ruined (Stanford). They lost the other bookstore.
Maybe they'll cancel the boondoggle and declare a higher dividend due to the increase in profits? The mind boggles.

So the event was ineffective? follett wasn't hurt last year and it will be fine, looking forward?
Great fiscal accountability! Spend a ton of money that has no effect on business decisions. That's some real drunken sailor thinking.
