Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Wrong move

Intel keeps getting rid of people with essential organizational knowledge through layoffs and not doing anything to keep them when they decide to leave (usually to our competitors.) This not only forces us to continue making the same mistakes but we also have to compete against companies that now have some of our best people in their ranks. Tell me, how is this a good thing?

This is due to a castle culture from India. Manager are Novelty. Workers are lower classes. Not only intel this culture is spreading in high tech.

I saw a LinkedIn post where an Intel director was going on about how “personal brand” and “visibility” were far more important than actual work accomplishments.

What a bunch of clowns in director level positions. It’s no wonder Intel has lost its leadership.

haha why do you talk like intel cares at all about technical knowledge? intel management only cares about loyalty, products don’t matter.

Unfortunately for Intel, those very people are mostly individual contributors who do the most work towards creating new products and revenue. What is left behind is management who contribute very little. I've never unsterstood why Intel puts so much value in its bloated management team.
