Intel hired lots of people to do software for phones (Android, camera sensors etc..) when it all collapsed these people moved to cloud with their phone knowledge… now they are managing cloud, accelerators and even fpgas as a Home Depot manager will manage Mars mission…. They have no idea what the technology is that they are claiming to be enabling … This is pervasive in software in various organizations… this is why Intels market share is slipping as once you purchase the platform, if may require you to run software in a way that will make your application totally useless … this is why cloud companies have been designing their own silicon. This is also exacerbated by nepotism and need to surround people who will never question anything.. so teams are just clusters that just say “yes it is done” regardless of what is being asked or whether it can help solve customers issues… what a day for intel!
