Return to Office

What do you all think about the Return to office update? Seems like it’s such a short notice.

The return to office announcement coincided within days of news coming out of Israel, that the Delta Variant of Covid-19 could infect those who have been vaccinated with any of the Covid-19 vaccines. Coincidence... you decide.

Unfortunately they will not. The language is clear. For people who want more time beyond their scheduled return dates, they are saying that the usual leave policies will apply. Do not shoot the messenger here. It is time and all the other virus policies are going away. If something happens with the virus and it becomes a problem there are doctors on staff who will make that call and alert leaders about whether people need to stay home.

I hope they let those of us with younger kids to telecommute longer until vaccine becomes available to all ages especially now with the delta variant

You are probably in an area like customer svc or IT. Or security. IT will be busy taking back deployed equipment handed out in Mar 2020. How much time would you like to have, if you could choose, before you go back to your office?

Some departments are to return on July 19. That was barely a 20 day notice. They are returning the full timers but not contractors

My dept has heard nothing at all. What announcement? Good to know we are staying consistent with the sh-t show of announcing important changes.
