Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Has the morale ever been lower?

The fact that I was not a layoff target, and my colleague who was a fantastic employee was laid off, only demoralizes me even more. I have never felt that this company is so lost as I do now, nor have I ever felt more demoralized than I feel now. Sometimes I wonder if it's just me, that I’ve lost the will to work here, or is it happening to others as well?

You sound like a whiney word that gets flagged here. If you are so miserable quit. It is that easy. Probably easier then coming on here and complaining like a little word that gets flagged on this website but then again someone like you would probably be a whiney word that will get flagged on here at another company. oh yeah. it rhymes with flag

I left that sh-t show over 10yrs ago. One of the best decisions of my life. SLB sucks the soul out of their employees. Always have and always will.

The morale of the story is it makes him/her feel like cr-p bc they weren’t the chosen one and it leaves a sense of guilt with everyone just trying to get their job done day by day. Also the fact that it’s hard enough to plan anything because you don’t know what’s going to happen next but at the same time, relieved that you still have your job and home.
