Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Claims Town Hall --Thoughts?

Eric did acknowledge some of challenges Claims is facing....kind of. Meanwhile employees pulled off the phone for an hour of nonsense.
Bring out the good talk- really? Let's open our wallets so the company gets credit for giving back.
No comments in chat was interesting although they showed. 'test' that it was supposedly working.

What are your thoughts?

I loved the town hall. It was a nice change to hear from all levels of leadership. I liked Eric’s brief message as well.

Brandt looked like a deer in the headlights. He is a smart guy, but his lack of leadership courage to stand up to Glenn and Tom, resulted in this organizational catastrophe. Customer satisfaction results have declined significantly since November, while morale and work/life balance well below prior results. Accelerated turnover should've been reasonably expected by any competent economist or HR professional when you gut the workforce, increase workloads, and essentially create Mayhem with the reorganization. The short-term gain for Wall Street optics will fade as loss costs increase at rates above the competition, more than offsetting any expense ratio reductions.

Giving this condo by a F for not planning properly . Now they’re trying to hire more adjusters to mage up for the ones they laid off! So behind in claims handling . What a pathetic leader we have .

Thanks for the recap that nothing was brought to light. I skip the townhalls cause they are pointless.

They knew exactly what they were doing. It was all anticipated. They are not stupid. They want as a many Americans to leave so they can outsource and take the rest of the biz to AI, self service and India. I repeat. They are not stupid! This was their plan all along. RIF for USA jobs outsource the rest.

They “didn’t anticipate” all the resignations?? What did they expect in a pandemic? India to take over quicker? Or their digital solutions ? Poor planning. Why isn’t Glenn let go for this disaster ! ? More employees will leave over the summer. This didn’t work out well for Allstate. Lesson: Don’t do big changes in a pandemic. Best to wait and hold on to your gooses that are laying your golden eggs.
