As of July 1st of 2021, the Hitachi Vantara 401K plan will merge into Hitachi 401K. Dropping the Vantara name may mean more than just a name change. Hitachi One may just be merging Hitachi Vantara into the Global Logic platform shedding off it’s legacy storage business for good.

I never liked the HV moniker. I understand they paid a handsome amount to research a name to inspire the future. Also, at first glance, its abbreviated form looks like a virus name.
