Now I see that I have long idealized this company. I’m still here, I haven’t been laid off, but it’s enough to see what the company has done to my colleagues and for me it’s a big warning sign not to put in any more effort and to get out of here as soon as possible. Their greed will destroy everything.

It's sad but very true. Keep your head down so you don't get it shot off. Everyone seems to be in self-preservation mode, as they SHOULD be. Anthem doesn't like it, but why should you care about that, they don't care about us.
Take pride in what you do. Do your job. Do it well. Don't do any extra work or add any undue stress.
