Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

And I'm Out

Don't believe the home office shills telling you to stay because the job market is bad. Took me 1 day to find and apply to jobs with better pay and better benefits. Took 3 weeks to go through the interviews I start a new job in a week.

The office I was in now has 79 out of 100 adjuster positions filled. 2 to 3 people a week are quitting. Home office is desperate for new bodies but can't fill the positions fast enough. I love it. The best part of my day was the emails saying so-and-so quit

I'm so glad to be a part of the exodus problem. You should leave too. There tons of better jobs out there, even for the hard-working but illiterate express people. haha just messing around, you guys were great.

Don't believe the shills. Jobs are waiting

Ohhh this is def Glenn the id--t!! Worked 35+ yrs for this company. Used to be a great company. The last 8-10 yrs? Not so much. Admin who worked anywhere from 10-12hrs a day!!!! Why?? Because the workload was unbearable. I even worked on some of my days off bc I was asked to. Yeah, I know stupid me. Don’t even ask how many employees, managers or RCL’s I had to process work for. And yes I know how many offices each admin handles now. It’s a shame what happened to them. It’s a shame what happ to everyone still with the company. Managers who still reach out to me & say what a f*ing horror it is working for this company. So fk Allstate. Pay my medical for 6mths & hello unemployment on top of severance & my wonderful PTO payout! You stupid id--ts are kicking yourselves in the A$$. Stupid move for sure laying off so many last year. Thank you so much for doing me a BIG favor!!!!

OP here. you are lying, because that's what shills do. if you have so many talented applicants why was my MCO at a 18-20 staffing deficit for so long? where are they? but let's say, just for fun, you're not lying and you have a large number of savvy, motivated applicants. how long will they last getting paid under market average in a claims environment that is increasingly unstable? you'll have a revolving door.

dismissed, shill.

To @wfg+1b6n96q3 Hi Glenn. It must be you. Such disdain for the people that do the actual work. And you sound kindof disheartened here, like you can't believe we saw through your dehumanizing plans. "attitudes of you all that quit on your peers and the company. "
To Cformerleader It's impossible to be a leader at ALL and not to lose a little of your soul. Sounds like you are finding center and a purpose again.

To “Home Office Shill”. I am a former leader from Allstate. I spent 25 years giving my heart and soul to the company. I was rated BTE my last 9 years straight with the company. You are out of touch and it’s sad, but typical of home office to underestimate and degrade those who are working their butts off to keep you rich. Wait till it’s your turn and then see what you think. I can tell you with ZERO uncertainty that EVERYONE is better than this company. To the hardworking front line employees-Respect, and I hope you all find something better where you are appreciated.

Nobody wants to be here and it’s clear in our huddles. We have over 100 pending claims minimum . They just keep assigning them to us because there’s nobody else to give them to. Morale is still low since the layoffs abd it reflects in the surveys they keep putting out . Managers don’t even ask how to change the work environment because it’s out of their control . It comes down to hiring more adjusters to service our customers and shops . Allstate is paying so much in rentals due to delays in repairs . India is going to open back up eventually and they’ll continue shipping jobs over there .

@wfg+1b6n96q3 HA. If you have so many, many, MANY talented people fighting for adjuster spots why don’t you hire some of them then? Why do you have a department running with about 75 people when you need 100? A company with tons of eager applicants doesn’t run anything at 3/4 capacity. Why every time I log in do I see a new “so and so” is no longer with the company email? Why are the processors constantly getting emails begging people to apply for adjuster spots or reminding people that there is a referral bonus if they know anyone looking for a job?

What you’re saying and what we see does not match up. If anything your post just proves how out of touch home office really is. They should clean house at the top and start over, it’s the only way this company is going to have a fighting chance because you all obviously don’t know what you’re doing.

Allstate claims: home to the most underpaid AND overworked adjusters in the industry

"Home Office Shill" here. Well....bye. We have many more experienced adjusters applying for and fighting in interviews for your spots. And I mean many, Many more experienced and qualified without the poor work ethic and attitudes of you all that quit on your peers and the company. Many of you provided more nuisance than you performed work and we will move on with other stronger adjusters which will help the brand and live into Transformative Growth unlike those of you who think you are above the company. No one is above the company. If you couldn't have your way you took your ball and went home like a bunch of toddlers. We will continue to grow and will thrive with better claims service provided to our valued insureds.

You’re lucky they even tell you who quit! These managers are so insane that they actually try to hide the departures ! They are so drunk on blue kool aid it’s pathetic. Managers keep a list of the departed and end of working their claims if they can’t give them to the rest of the adjusters. Most adjusters are going down with a fight. It’s not pretty. The plastic attitudes and lack of realism in the management ranks makes for one grumpy bunch. Thanks Allstate. You style is none. Best of luck to all that left this ho-e. You are hero’s. Enjoy your weekend ivory tower elite. You don’t deserve your millions.

Yup , I got on with Geico last month as an auto appraiser. Best move I made. I was afraid to leave . Now I work a normal work schedule after a year of being a slave at Allstate.
