Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Tons of work

I'm too tired. I have had so much work for months that stress has already started to have a significant impact on my health. How is it possible to do the amount of work for 3 people and to have everything done perfectly? Perfection is required here, and they are not at all interested in the fact that it is not realistic for one man (even one with great experience) to do so much work.

I am so sorry for what you’re going through. I am dealing with the same and I’m seeing it happen to others. I’ve reported it to any and everyone I can think of. I would encourage you to do the same. While it’s sadly true that at least some people don’t care or want to help but have no immediate authority to do so, remember something. It’s a bank. Given we are regulated, there’s a paper trail for most things including complaints. Get your concerns on the record. If your boss would find a way to make you regret filing a complaint, call the Ethics line instead.

I saw this in my first year and left without looking back. Poor people. Just watch Levang treating people, when she has zero clue about technology. It's all about money and keeping costs down. Pre-historic management seeking penny pinching goals. I am keeping a champagne bottle waiting for the news on when US Bank is filing for bankruptcy, broken apart or getting indicted by congress. It is a matter of time.

The long-term, useless middle managers don't care and certainly don't believe how hard front line workers are working. They just keep pushing and complaining at the smallest issue. Best Monday morning quarterbacks around.

I'm so sorry. I was in your shoes so many times. They cut jobs but the workload always gets bigger. The "lucky" ones left after the cull shoulder all the weight but never get the rewards. All the bonuses go to the middle and upper management - people who have no idea what the workers have to do in order for them to get their "numbers" up. They don't care as long as they get to take their fancy vacations and live in their mcMansions on a lakefront.
