With the upcoming potential of more redundancies coming is it worth joining Unite Union?
I reckon I could be at the top of the list as my boss has a vendetta against me and has caused me nothing but hassel over the last year.
Even threatening to sack me last year, which then when quiet after a quiet word in HR's ear.
Depends on what the transfer fee is?
Agree unions are useless and powerless save your cash and take a package (my union rep tried to convince me otherwise). Glad I ignored his advice. I’m so much happier out and got loads of cash (tax free too!). I felt pressured by union to be a pawn in their negotiating tactics with the Company. Take independent legal advice if you are in a redundancy situation over union reps.

Whether or not you join the union, reading your statement, you very obviously need to find a new boss. Move within or leave the company. If your skills are up to date, the market is good.
Watch for Refinitiv HR tolls, join the Union of lose your job alone.
Strongly encourage all to join a union. Why? Safety in numbers; unions have access to more resources than individuals (some even providing legal advice/support); and employers are reluctant to take on unions for obvious reasons. Individuals on their own are vulnerable.
Most definitely. Allan burns is an super bloke. Very good union leader. There are some European Union’s like Poland but totally ineffective. Unite is respected in the legacy Refinitiv organisation.
