Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

How long did it take you to find a new job?

I know the question is too generalized and it all depends on the specific job you are looking for, but I wonder if you've noticed that it is now easier to find a new job in this industry than a few months ago?

20+ years with SLB

Once I started on new job plan and took it serious it took 3 months to land 2 good offers. Plus another optional one, keep you head and spirits up.

I was laid off in June. Found a new job in October. Promoted in January. Pay is slightly lower than in SLB but I experienced a massive improvement in both working environment and quality of life.

No need to find a new job when SLB will offer you your all job back.....obviously on a lower wage and limited contract....but you should be grateful
