Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

This feels so good

I thought the elation would pass after the first few "he-l yeahs," but nope. Still enjoying every minute of this. You just love to see it. After everything we've been through with Woods, this feels so good. It's a small thing in the grand scheme of things, but it is significant and I'm betting you it hurt them. Chefs kiss.

@yuz Activist investor Engine No. 1 managed to secure two (possibly three) seats on the EM board, despite considerable efforts (and money) expended by EM to prevent it. This was read by the business/ownership class as a total repudiation of the current EM senior leadership. There’s a lot of good articles (mostly paywalled) that go into further detail, but that’s it in a nutshell.

He’s talking about the resounding defeat a 6 month old upstart, minor investor handed DW’s arrogant *ss, in spite of him spending $35 Million of what should have been our 401k match trying to defeat them.
