Anyone here work at the Texas offices? I'm wondering what they are planning to do with us remote associates that live in rural towns. I don't have a centene or wellcare office near me, what are they planning to do with us rural associates when they plan to return to the office? I understand that centene does not really support remote working from home.

So I have been told by a reliable source that anyone who worked remotely prior to the pandemic will be layed off by the end of the year. Unfortunately, I will be in the category,if Im still here.
It's a good question, hopefully ppl like original poster will be grandfathered in as remote.
I know Wellcare bought a couple of companies (UAM, Meridian) a short time before being bought by Centene. There might be several pockets of ppl that don't have a Wellcare and now a Centene office near by.
I'd think the only exceptions made would be for field sales or clinical staff assigned to a territory nowhere near an office. So a case by case basis.
Wow.. how is that ? You must be management or nurse or something. They are remote most of the time.
What about if we live in Texas but we were hired as a remote employee and our supervisor and management team is in Florida ?
Yes I know for a fact if they say return and you say “I live 10 hours away from my home base”, Centene will say “BYE”. Better start looking no remote due to MFN and his “old mind” ways.
Start looking, either for a new job or to move near an office. Centene will be a 'cubie' culture as long as MFN and his minions run things. You're in Texas which is open. I've been out of there a year so my impression may be outdated, but MFN's brain is stuck in the early 2000s. Even when he's carried out by 8 or 10 pallbearers, his family will control the company.
