I have noticed that people start looking for work more actively only after rumors appear that layoffs are coming. As soon as they survive the round of cuts, they look for work much less actively. That is a probably in human psychology, I guess, but it is very wrong. I know jobs don’t fall from the sky but staying here for another day is just prolonging the agony.

If you are serious about finding another job looking for that new job becomes a 2nd job until you accept the offer.
Yet you stay. You know you have it good here. Even though you complaining. A lot.
