Who’s willing to bet mechanical layoffs are to happen within 4-6 weeks? I’d say 40-50 guys across the system, mainly zone 7, and this time the layoffs will be Union and non-Union employees.

So 288 craft people are losing their jobs on Wednesday, or is it a blend of both craft and management?
I bet all the guys in Glendive, Wyoming, Silsbee, Dayton, Houston, etc. didn’t believe anything either. How are they doing today?
I saw an email (paper copy) about a month ago. In it they talked about alliance jobs being cut due to their predicted downturn in coal.
