Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Anyone else?

Anyone else sick and tired from hearing from leadership day in and day out about what we are supposed do? Every single webinar is about their journey and what we need to do to be like them. When it really doesn’t matter what we have done when they have an initiative to get rid of more US employees or employees who make a certain amount or have been here too long for their liking...

No. But we ARE sick of your stomach churning rants. Just breath....and go take a nap.

Nothing can be truer. I think we need to stop blaming only the top two. Aren’t they same with the rest of the officers they had promoted?

What YOU need to do.

  1. Show up every day, on time, ready to work.
  2. Make zero friends.
  3. Resist talking to the boss except through e-mail or text.
  4. Realize they wouldn't care if you got hit by a bus on the way to work, and they'd write you up for being late. Reciprocate that loyalty.
  5. Do an adequate job. Stay in the middle, for when the glass guts turned, you'll still be there.
  6. Try to run them out of $$$.
  7. Smile, wave, apologize.
  8. BE NICE to CUSTOMERS!

9 Be smart enough to be stupid.

Nothing else matters. There is zero way to make it otherwise.

This journey reminds me of the Army.
Maps being read and people being led by
2nd Lieutenant's who are lost as fu©k.

It's not just the US that thinks Stank sucks.
He's screwed MoW too.

I happened to see some reference to our "transformation journey" on insider this morning and it made me laugh.

It's been quite the "journey" to be sure. It's like we were told we were going to Disneyland and Stankey dropped us off in our own backyard.

T may be next Enron. History repeats itself. We did not have any big corporate scandals so maybe it is time for next BIG THING.

att is a joke and the people they promote are clueless. if your good at spreadsheets and reports and writing wordy presentations you can have a limitless career at att.

T has really became a terrible place to work the past three years...unless you are a minority.

Yes, I agree. Leadership would rather see employees mumbling in the corner of the room in fear they will be laid off next. Their message is getting stale, after all, how many times do you need to hear the same rubish. What will it take to save at&t? Can it even be saved? I have my doubts.
