The old adage applies here, “Never look a gift horse in the mouth!” The core business is the gift that keeps on giving, but they neglected it and now, we’re merely a 3rd place contender!
They definitely didn’t have the skill required to play in the media game.
Randy and Stankey rode on the momentum of a Telecomm business that was needed but was in decline due ONLY to lack of investment. (Thet looked competent in this role) They could hardly phuck up. Once they negleted the core business and started chasing shiny objects, their incompetence began to show. How or why they were allowed to go on for so long will be cautionary study in business school.
