I guess it's not surprising considering everything we have to go through each day but I've definitely noticed that this place changes people for the worse. People are far less friendly and less willing to help out after a few years here. And those who get promoted? It's like they receive a personality transplant on day one. It's really sad to watch all of it happen. It wasn't always like this, but we are where we are now, I guess.

Less senior people in claims are a nightmare to deal with. Most should not be oblivious to the ultimate downfall that is inevitable but they are.
Claims (not just at Allstate) has made me a jaded, distrustful individual. It does benefit you in some ways (like dealing with car dealers for example) but overall I’m much less friendly after working in claims 15 years. It’s the nature of the job, not really Allstate’s fault this time

This hasn't been my experience... But I don't work in claims
Arrogance, lack of compassion, conceit, no humility ....Allstate breeds this. You have to fight to keep your sanity and your self intact.
