Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Future of Sites

Wondering if some knowledgeable folks can share opinions about the future of our Sites in Canada and how long would you bet $10k of your own money that EM will hang onto the Canadian Assets.

Do you think EM will majority own Imperial in 5, 10, 20, 50, 80 years from now?

Considering the low profitability of Canadian assets, and grim outlook for the oil&gas business in Canada, I keep thinking about waking up to a news item telling us that Kearl, Cold Lake or Sarnia, Nanticoke are sold to a lower cost Canadian competitor including most employees at the location. Just like Retail, Moncton........

Exxon selling imperial or cutting ties would be great for imperial. It’s hard to overstate how Exxon has hollowed out imperial over the last two decades, and continues to do so through terrible management decisions and a bozo culture.
