Someone said it very well, HV could soon become a case study. Maybe it could be a study on Management practices to avoid or how to try to maintain a top–heavy organizational structure for years. The conclusion would be that sometimes one has to flatten the organization or everything will sink, right? It is amazing to me that they are laying off employees and more top dogs are being hired....

Loss of dollars in real terms due to no raise or COLA adjustments forced me out. Happily, there are many employers willing to pay what you are worth. I got a sizable bump by moving on, and you will too. Move on people.
Wait, did the previous poster just say remote workers are also driving for Uber/Lyft AS A POSITIVE?
That's disgusting. Hitachi needs to pay its workers enough that they don't need to work a second job. Hitachi already pays below market, didn't give raises for YEARS, and when they finally started giving raises, many were denied, and the raises were so small, they didn't even cover the cost of living increase.
The engineers who are quitting are finding 40 – 70% larger salaries at employers who recognize their value. You deserve better!
Agreed! Hitachi Vantara is the best company to work. The mangement is very talented. they pay bonus, unlimited vacation, and allow remote work. I heard some remote worker conduct their meeting in the car while making extra income as Uber/Lyft driver.
