Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What can layoffees do with XOM brand gear?

I was laid off in Feb. I am wondering what other layoffees are planing to do with XOM brand gear (polo shirts, etc). – continue wearing it, just keep them away, donate them, burn them, other.

Cut into 2" wide, long strips. Use strips to floss your taint.

I gave mine to a homeless guy.

I was with EM for more than 20 years, originally from heritage Exxon, and was PIP'd last July. Over the years, I've collected a bunch of EM collectibles, awards, and other branded items (Jackets, T–shirts, caps, etc.). Right after I was let–go, I took everything that has EM logo to the dumpster, including my service pins and awards. That's how much I hated EM. I admit I still had quite a number of XOM stock upon my termination but I sold all of these eventually.

You are that person who always has to prove wrong the statement, “there’s no such thing as a du–b question”. You must have been a supervisor wannabe at XOM. Sounds like people saw through your stupid questions and sucking up.

Is this a serious question , really , I’m assuming you aren’t a leader if you are asking silly questions

Wear it proudly when you go to fill gas Shell, Chevron or other competitors. The world will know that even XOM employees hate the company.

If it has an EM logo or project motto near the cuff of a long–sleeve T,
I like to wear my Man U 'AIG' logo short–sleeve on top.
Topped with my Tennessee Oilers cap.
Had this wardrobe on my myspace page.
Big up votes.

Give it to the homeless guys who hang out near I45 and the campus. Would be great for management to see homeless dudes wearing their project team shirts when they go to and from the office.

Sell on eBay when the company goes ti–s up like Enron.
Otherwise wear as work clothes around the house or cut up and use as rags.

One suggestion is to dress the scarecrows.

I was force–retired last year with 33 years of company.
My most valuable goods are probably from when I first started out.

  • 'Team Alaska' cups (3), crystal paperweights (2), shoulder–bag (1).

Team Alaska – from Valdez Operations '89.

That's gold, baby. Museum stuff.

Why wear or donate them and give this company a free publicity! Unless you are in love with the company or want to give free publicity to the company, just burn them. That may make you feel good. Or just put it on Ebay and see if anyone wants to pay of the junk and buy it off your hands. Liquidate for profit or burn them are the only two options I see.
