I was an employee for several years, let go in Sept, and contacted by a dellteam recruiter today. When I asked about the salary, the amount provided was almost $20k less than my previous position. Surely sales salaries aren't lower, considering Dell pays a little less than many other tech companies. Comments, or insight appreciated.

I’m at HPE and considering a move as a global account manager. What’s the indicative package in eastern US please?
Why would you want to go back?
Both lower pay AND lower pay grade.
Yup, salaries are lower but the WFH conditions are awesome and mean you can have a life back.
It's a bit of a buyer's market right now. Salaries are indeed lower for a lot of positions.
Sales? Not sure why you think those would be high. Sales base salaries are pretty low in general.
Sales is all about hitting or exceeding your targets and making that big money.
