Outsource to HCL Technologies = DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION?

Is this what corporatespeak about Digital Strategy means? Is it just codewords for outsourcing functions to companies like HCL Technologies?

Outsourcing discussions between ExxonMobil and HCL Enterprises India started in 2009. See press release to India Economic Times article.

A day after British Petroleum (BP) formally awarded over $1.5-billion outsourcing contracts to TCS, Infosys and Wipro along with IBM and Accenture, top Indian offshore vendors including L&T Infotech and HCL Technologies - along with other MNC vendors - have locked horns with each other for almost $1-billion outsourcing deal being fleshed out by ExxonMobil.

Sourcing to BTC India and then sourcing out immediately to MSPs within sounds like a bad decision and waste of money. Are id--ts involved in making these poor decisions are going to get Pipped also?

Outsourcing from GBC's to companies with even less knowledge and experience in the business. Guess that is no longer important.
