Thread regarding Imperial Oil Limited layoffs

Outsourcing to India in full swing

I have seen the migration of outsourcing to India start back in 2019 when BTC worked on a project here in Canada for free to show what they could do. There engineers followed us around, asked what this equipment was and basically got a sense of what was going on. We provided all the information to them and now they have contracts in almost every area of the business. The sad part is that so many people have been let go over the past year that there is not much of a choice now but to use BTC because of the amount of work now put on individuals. We keep refining the process and make them look like Alstar’s. We’re giving our own jobs away these days with a smile on our face. I would never get into this industry if I was coming out of college or a trade associated with the oil and gas industry these days. There is no future in it anymore. If outsourcing doesn’t ruin us our own federal government will. What a disgrace.

Greedy Management are responsible for this. They only focus on their high salary and year end stocks. Everyone knows about BTC’s fake & fraudulent activities. BTCs Managers & engagement leads are very sneaky, have cheap mentalities and always try to send work by faking BTC’s expertise. All cheaters are playing actively here. Why the heck they come to Canada if they wanna die for BTC. Imperial promote hypocrites.

Wonder if management ever thought about outsourcing themselves! No one couldn’t be outsourced except the ones in the field!

Say anything you want about our ineffective clueless leadership, the lack of innovation, the toxic culture at times, the lack of opportunity, the layoffs, pay freeze, but for me the worst has to be the outsourcing to BTC and KLTC. The level of investment and drive this company is putting into outsourcing full steam ahead and fully expanding the roles these offices play with no regard to bad results and feedback from everyone including competitor experience tells me it’s over. There’s no future. There’s no serious investment in our employees. This company is finished. And as the last of the competent employees leave IOL will not even be recognizable. It’s so far out of hand of even most senior management at this point.
