Follett lost the Maine cc system contract and B&N got it. My store has gotten no word on what's going on. We have been bounced around groups since our RM left. Any one had this happen before? Or anyone have any news?

Because store staffs have been downsized over the past few years, there are very few staff to take over newly acquired stores . What usually happens in a change, if the college or university is happy with the store management, they are most often kept on with the new company. On the flip side, if they are not happy, the current store management is not kept.
I'm sorry your store closed but glad it worked out for the best for you when B&N took over. It's also comforting in a bizarre way to know that it's not just me that's been left with zero help from the RM since the announcement of my store closure.
The transition to BN was the best thing to ever happen to my store. Follett won't support the closing – we never saw ANYONE except on the last day to sign the inventory papers. They were too occupied with a new store system in Texas to give 2 sh––s about us.
Ask your GVP if you have no RM. if that doesn’t work ask JH.
Had this happen years ago. I was a SM at CC system. B&N said they were keeping everyone then 1 week before transition, they inform me they're keeping everyone but me and had me escorted off campus, even though FHEG still had contract for 1 week.
I'm a SM we found out about the contract 2 weeks ago.
When did you find out about this? Are you an SM? Someone should have given you some direction by now.
