As scheduled meetings are postponed, I am now even more anxious and suspicious that the reason for this meeting is layoffs in the coming period.
Why did they cancel the meetings so suddenly I wonder? Does it seem to you that layoffs are in the announcement?
What an awful company. They know very well how stressed employees are from cuts and they are just fueling tensions even more.
Being a CLEC Network tech, I can say that most of the repair / NOC /Engineering etc have gone overseas. You have to constantly tell them you cant understand them and keep asking for stateside to get someone from our side of the water...
Field techs outsourced to contractors??? Haven’t seen that in ILEC for the last few years. Were project managers let go? Never worked with an overseas project manager yet. Haven’t worked with an overseas sales person either, still have local business sales reps along with door to door sales staff.
Windstream outsourced several more departments to overseas. They are a disgraceful company. Customer beware, you will not talk to a windstream employee at any point, this is a shell company. Sales is outsourced thru channel partners, so your rep was not a windstream employee. Project manager at turnup, outsourced overseas, field tech that did the install was outsourced to a contractor, when you call in customer service is overseas, oursourced repair, outsourced the NOCs monitoring the network........at no point will you speak to a wondstream employee, so why make those checks out to windstream for service?!
