So many people are wasting their energy on worrying about layoffs instead of using that energy to prepare for that very possibility. Layoffs are not as scary if you have all your ducks in a row. Make sure your resume is updated, send out some feelers, start networking...there are so many things you could be doing to minimize the effect a possible layoff might have on you. Focus on that and your stress levels are guaranteed to drop.

I can assure you having been through it, have a landing spot is MUCH MORE advantageous than waiting for "the package" unless of course you're okay with the possibility of being unemployed for a very long time.
You're "hi–tech recruiter" was a bartender or waitress not long ago. That's what you'll be dealing with and it will make your head spin.
Thank you GFK and Susan for those resume tips.
if you can afford to wait for the package, then do so.
= if you decided to wait or defer the vaccinations
If you already found a landing pad, good for you
= If you found an appt to vaccinate.
If you decided to stay, good for you too
= if you decided not to vaccinate.
I think too many (myself included) focus on the package rather than the landing spot. If you aren't happy, get the heck out. I waited for years and wish I would have pulled the ripcord when we all realized it was a dumpster fire. I got my package but developed some unhealthy PTSD along the way :)
can confirm. I have been planning my exit and will be executing it soon. it has made my life a lot less stressful.
