No, not just 55 and over. I am 38 and a band E attorney and was offered it as well. How do you know it was 800 people? That is interesting.

It was offered to around 800 people. It will open up lots of opportunities for current employees if even half of them take it. Did you have to be retirement eligible to be offered it? Not sure since two friends of mine both are over 55 that are taking it.

There has been talk of the managers 9 box assessment of the value of the employee in who was chosen and not. What is your value to the company and how would your loss effect the organization.

If you do not take the offer, you will inevitably be let go in the near future was what I was told in a roundabout way without saying it, and there is likely no severance package greater than 1 week per year of employment at that point if any. This has nothing to do with performance as I have consistently received Better than expected on reviews for the past 4 out of 5 years. It is a very hard decision, but I think the writing is on the wall.

Are those who are passing this offer up afraid you will be let go anyway and walk away with nothing? b Just curious.

It sounds like the majority of these offers went out to legal, is that correct?

What percentage of people at these bans were offered this? And why were some people picked over others?

To the person commenting on the town hall, that is not what this is about. These termination agreements were sent out last week and need to be decided on in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately, I can’t afford to take it.

Based on the Townhall, it doesn't sound as if any layoffs are coming this year. It sounds more like they understand they f***ed up and are now trying to hire.

its a voluntary separation/termination agreement for band E employees and above (bonus level). I do not think every person at these levels were given the offer but most were. Offered 6–12 months severance and can work through August or October before receiving the money.

I haven’t heard about this. What is it and who was it offered to?

I’m taking it as it makes sense for me to do when all is considered.

I am taking it, I can not afford to risk not taking it and ending up with nothing. I have started to look for a job after being there almost 10.
