Seems odd that the company would be spending millions on new real estate – especially a large facility in North Carolina when they’ve spent over a year not really using the real estate they already have. Millions...if not hundreds of millions could be saved if CNC could get onboard with a longer term remote work strategy.

Has anyone looked into the developers of that NC office building and the funding? Inquiring minds want to know if MFN or the family through companies or trusts are personally investing in it.
Post ID: @1ong+1arWPZpo agree some of this is due to the Medicaid go–live in NC, but the next open position volume goes to FL, then to St Louis. Since STL is headquarters that isn't the order they should be in. I still believe that MFN is positioning Centene to move headquarters to NC (what he is building in NC is way too large to be only applicable to Medicaid). I guess we'll see what greed causes him to do, but my bet is on a NC headquarters in the foreseeable future.
Most of the Centene open positions are for NC also due to the go–live date of July 2021 for Medicaid services. So the amount of NC positions currently open cannot completely be attributed to the NC headquarters. Just making mention..
Don't be fooled. If the company is sold or broken up into parts and real estate needs to be shed, it's easy to sell off real estate and leases in NC and FL. That's why MFN needs to get out of STL except for a token presence. STL is turning into a hellhole. Centene will look very different in a year or two than it does now.
Looks like MFN not only wants to leave St. Louis, but is also looking to basically shut the Tampa FL operations down also. He stated Tampa will headquarter 'Medicare & Pharmacy', which sounds more like a call center operation.
MFN is not content at the headquarters in St Louis, MO due to crime rate, etc in that city. He had a large interview published last year, while alluding he was moving this to NC. If you look at the open positions on the CNC website, you'll see the largest amount of open positions in the State of NC. Logical thinking is he is working towards moving headquarters to that location.
