If anyone's interested Tom was in our store and said we will not be going forward with chanel or coty fragrance.im sure everyone else will be following shortly

Then he put the cart before the horse because I wholeheartedly trust my Coty source. as of my previous post, they sure hadn't let Coty know that Belk isn't planning to go forward with them....if that's the case, makes more sense after hearing Belk didnt raise a finger to try and negotiate for L'Oreal brands to stay either. Desperate for cash flow. no bueno
This is for the person that is implying that Tom didn't say anything about coty pulling out.i think your source is wrong.tom was in the rock hill store#581 and told me personally that we wouldn't be going forward.
I have a friend who works in upper management with Coty and i directly reached out to see what they had to say about this news....they said Coty is still selling to Belk. Dont know why Tom would speak prematurely , that is if this was credible news. Have no idea about Chanel, but I've tried to order thru fulfillment and many items are not available to order.
I've tried to order different Chanel fragrances for customers in the past couple of weeks and its not even available through fulfillment which is very telling. Only items left are the one off deodorants.
The rock hill store
The fragrance area looks so empty, it's embarrassing. One customer came up to me and said, 'you guys don't have anything.' All i could do was give the same tired apology and recommend ordering it at a register. But he didn't really want to do that either because the lines were so long. Can't blame him.
Yikes. A Chanel rep came to my store on Tuesday and said that she hadn’t heard anything about the exit. She did mention when Neiman Marcus filed for bankruptcy last year that they didn’t get shipment for six months (resolving debt & renegotiating contracts), but she also said that Chanel exits retailers before they close down 😬.

Yup! Our rvp visited us on Friday, and when we asked about Chanel, she started to blame the vendor. Oh they’re having stock issues... yet a quick trip to Macy’s and Nordstrom.. full stock. Mother’s Day is right around the corner... :).
