Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Money at any cost

Employees, vendors, brokers, members and providers have been affected by the lack of professionalism, communications, training and faulty IT systems, the merge resulted to be a huge disaster for everybody because lack of execution by management, and the worse, they do not care! as long as they continue to pretend and get their salaries they do not deserve because they are a bunch of id--ts! Morale is low all over the place, employees are clueless what, how, when, where to do things, so bad, that a lot are hoping sometimes to be layoff, at this point nobody knows what is best!, business as usual, this corporation is all about money at any cost and they do not care who gets affected. Just hoping the government is aware, but because the are in Missouri and Tampa, corruption is not a huge issue, they have the politicians in their side and does not matter how INEPT managers, supervisors are there as long as they get their bonus and high salaries even they are not doing their job.

That's correct, they ONLY care about their salaries and keeping their numbers. They'll get rid of Anyone who tries to do the right thing, going above and beyond for members and providers means nothing unless you go above and beyond to simply please supervisors and managers. They will use you and toss you no matter what. I feel like those who where laidofff in February/ March got the better end of the bargain after all. Niedorf should be ashamed, allowing older employees or those with medical conditions to be tossed with scraps amidst a pandemic while he's 75yo making MILLIONS in 2020 alone.

Where acquisitions fall apart are in the transitioning of employees (usually executed) and of systems (usually a botch). WellCare didn't do a great job at that either on their acquisition tear, as I observed working for them. I saw vendors not getting paid there either. But people there cared and tried to create workarounds, most of the time.

I don't know if Centene actually cares that vendors aren't paid, or that systems don't work. Apparently there's another goal out there, to get really big and drive the share price, and/or get acquired, and only top management really knows what that goal is.
